Born and raised in Mexico, I came to the US to pursue a degree and kick off my design journey.
I double majored with Honors in Visual Communications and Social Media Marketing with a minor in Web Design from Graceland University (IA)
During college, I gained interest in design and was lucky to gain experience as an intern at the school's creative media center where I produced posters for school and community events.
After my graduation, I worked as a graphic designer for a company in Iowa where I created social media posts, posters, flayers, email campaigns, and produced product photography.
After five cold winters in Iowa, I decided to move to Miami where there was more potential to professionally grow. I'm a graphic designer for an architecture firm and I produce their marketing materials, social media posts, videos, email campaigns, and request for proposals (RFP). I'm also their technology manager where I assist the team with any IT issues.
During the last two years, I decided to further develop my skills and passion for design.
That's when I enrolled into SheCodes, a front-end development online workshops for women, where I learned HTML, CSS, Javascript, Hosting, API's and Bootstrap.
I continued with my front-end development journey with Codecademy, where I reinforced my front-end skills.
I've been always curious about UX/UI design and the process for product design. That's when I signed up for Memorisely's 12-week UX/UI bootcamp where I learned user research, design thinking, user flows, usability testing, user interviews, wireframing, UI styles and components, prototyping, usability audits, and atomic and responsive design. It was an awesome experience while collaborating with talented designers around the world.
I feel more than ready and excited to take my design journey to the next level.
